We hear stories all the time from people with a real passion for modelling but where you do not fit the very strict requirements to be a fashion / catwalk model, fitting these requirements is extremely difficult and only the very lucky few make it….
Be a Glamour Model
There are still so many opportunities for you out there in the modelling world
Nowadays glamour models are as much of a bona fide celebrity as catwalk models, perhaps even more so – and the requirements to be a glamour model are pretty much non-existent, anybody can be one!
To be suitable for glamour modelling you will really need to be a confident, independent person – confidence is required for obvious reasons but independence is needed as you may be sent anywhere in the world and be away from your friends and family for weeks at a time
Glamour modelling can be great fun and the models who make it are generally selected because they are the ones’ the public like, not like catwalk or fashion where it is the industry who determine who should be famous…
But with all types of modelling the key is to be careful – the usual rules apply:
- Do not give anybody money to sign up to their agency
- Things can be to good to be true – be careful if somebody offers you an incredible offer straight away
- Do your research – meet models on forums and sites like UKModelSite.com
- Research photographers before you meet – the good ones will have mentions and experienced on lots of sites
